On Saturday, September 16th, the Tulsa Public Schools, Oklahoma State Department of Education, Oklahoma Parents Center, and Able Tech will present The Passport to Literacy event for parents to teach them different accommodation techniques and how to speak up for their children.

This FREE event will feature hands-on workshops for parents to learn how to support their new and struggling readers through accomodations, advocacy, and low to high-tech assistive technology solutions. The event is for parents of children 3 years old through 3rd grade in Tulsa County.

There will be a kids' area with a Channel 2 Weather Team presentation, Safari Joe's Animals, and much more. Doughnuts will be served in the morning and pizza for lunch.

Parents are encouraged to take a survey and pre-register ahead of time.
