American Therapeutic Riding Center is affiliated with the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). It is located in Sand Springs, OK, north of Highway 412 at the 177th West Avenue exit. ATRC's mission is to provide opportunities for people with varying ability levels to challenge themselves physically and emotionally by setting goals to improve their quality of life through riding therapy.

Tulsa World of Gymnastics
These are gymnastics classes designed for children with developmental disabilities and physical limitations.
Classes are small and designed specifically to develop large and small motor skills.
Children are encouraged to develop abilities so that they can ultimately be mainstreamed into traditional gymnastics classes.

Tulsa Cheer Academy
Special Athletes Cheerleading Program
Competitive cheer squad for special needs students ages 5 and up. Trained adult coaches as a well as junior coaches during practices and competitions. The squad will compete in four competitions, most are local.
Practice on Fridays from 6:15-7:15.
Fundraiser available to help pay for fees. $120 uniform rental and bloomers and $45 month for tuitions (4 week session). Competitions fees will be discussed during parent meeting on Tuesday, July 29th at 7:30pm.

A class for children with special needs meets on the first and third Saturday of each month for 45 minutes. There is no tuition for this class and enrollment is open all year.

Special Olympics Oklahoma
⇒Offers year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Athletes can participate in: aquatics, athletics, basketball, bowling, golf, motor activities, powerlifting, soccer, softball, volleyball, bocce/horseshoes, equestrian.
⇒To be eligible, athletes must be at least 8 years old and have a cognitive delay or functional limitations in both general learning and adaptive skills.
⇒There is no cost to participate in Special Olympics or a maximum age limitation.
⇒For children with intellectual disabilities ages 5 through 7, the Special Olympics provides a Young Athletes program that strengthens physical development and builds skills for future sports participation and socialization.
⇒Special Olympics also offers a Unified Sports program which combines approximately equal numbers of athletes with and without intellectual disabilities, of similar age and ability, on teams that compete against other Unified Sports teams.

TOPSoccer Program- Metro Tulsa Soccer Club
TOPS is an outreach program for youth with special needs helps children with mental and physical disabilities get involved in the sport of soccer.
It's open to 5 year olds though 19 year old youth athletes from any school district with special needs (physical or developmental disabilities).
Players are divided and teams are formed based on level of function rather than age or gender, thus placing children in the most appropriate playing situation.
Structured league with games every weekend for 8-9 weekends per season. Practices are held 1 time per week
$20 seasonal registration fee and $32 uniform fee

TOPSoccer Program- Owasso Soccer Club
Youth between 4 &19 with any physical or mental disability are eligible to play.
Weekly games on Saturdays at 3:00 pm during two seasons Spring Season (March through May) and Fall Season (September through November)
Games are held at the Owasso Sports Complex, 116th Street just west of Garnett.
