DDSD: Family Support Assistance Program
DDSD offers a Family Support Assistance Program to assist those who meet these eligibility requirements:
The family is headed by natural or adoptive parent(s) or a legal guardian (adoptive parents cannot also receive as adoption subsidy)
has an adjusted gross income of no more than $45,000 a year
and lives in Oklahoma.
The child is under 18 years old;
has mental retardation or another developmental disability as defined by Oklahoma law;
lives in the family home or has plans to return to the family home; and may not receive HCBS waiver services while receiving the family support payment.
Those meeting the eligibility requirement receive payments ranging from $250 to $400 per month, depending on the number of children with developmental disabilities living in the home.
